This event is part of the Global Business & Economics Data Workshop Series, a 17-part series offered online across NYU's three global sites from September 22-26th. See below for important details on preparation for each session and a breakdown of the times that this event will occur at NYU's global sites. |
Description: Ready to start a more strategic and efficient job search? Learn to master the principles of Steve Dalton's "The 2-Hour Job Search" method. This workshop will focus on the critical first step: building your prioritized LAMP (List, Alumni, Motivation, Posting) list. Through hands-on exercises, you will use some of the library's business databases, such as Pitchbook, Hoovers, Capital IQ, and GlobalData Disruptor, to identify potential employers, find valuable company information, and uncover alumni connections—all key steps for turning your job search into a strategic and efficient process.
Preparation: For maximum benefit, we recommend reading or listening to “The 2-Hour Job Search” beforehand. NYU Libraries provides access to both the ebook and audio book. You may also review the resource handout ahead of time.
